Your Work

You retain ownership of original content you create. Publishing on Bookween grants Bookween the limited licence described in the Terms of Service so the platform can host, display, distribute, and technically operate your content.

Only Publish What You Have the Right to Use

Do not upload or publish copyrighted text, photography, artwork, graphics, videos, trademarks, or other protected material unless:

• You own it.
• You have permission.
• A licence permits the use.
• Another lawful basis applies.

Attribution Is Not Always Permission

Naming the original creator does not automatically give you the legal right to reproduce their work.

Quotations and Commentary

Limited quotation, criticism, commentary, education, reporting, or similar use may be lawful in some circumstances depending on jurisdiction. Publishers are responsible for ensuring their use is lawful.

Copyright Reports

Rights holders who believe their work is being used improperly may submit a report through Bookween's reporting/support system. A useful report should identify:

• The copyrighted work.
• The allegedly infringing Bookween content.
• The reporter's relationship to the rights.
• Relevant supporting information.
• A means for Bookween to respond.
• Do not require sensitive information unless genuinely necessary.

Review and Removal

Bookween may restrict or remove content where a credible intellectual-property complaint is received. Bookween may request additional information from either party.

Repeat Abuse

Repeated intentional infringement may result in publishing restrictions, verification consequences, or account action.

False Claims

Do not knowingly submit fraudulent copyright complaints to silence lawful criticism or competition. Abuse of the reporting system may itself result in enforcement.

Bookween Intellectual Property

Bookween's name, logo, interface, branding, original software, and other proprietary assets may be protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Using Bookween does not transfer ownership of those assets.

Eligible copyright-related enforcement may be reviewed through the Appeals & Enforcement Policy.
